Unity Chicago is helping the families of Centro Romero to get ready for the upcoming school year!

Drop off your school supplies at Unity Chicago or make a donation and we’ll deliver it directly to Centro Romero. This annual fundraiser helps so many families that rely on Centro Romero’s support with necessary supplies like backpacks, pencils, notebooks, and more. 

Centro Romero is a local nonprofit dedicated to serving the refugee immigrant population in the Northeast neighborhoods of Chicago, where Unity Chicago calls home.

 

We are accepting both monetary donations and school supplies July 6th through August 17th. Items can be dropped off on Sundays and donations can be made online by clicking the donate button above. Make sure your contribution is designated as Back-to-School for Centro Romero.

Items needed:

  • Backpacks

  • PAPER: Composition Notebooks, Spiral Notebooks, Loose Leaf Paper, Graph Paper, Sketchpads, Index Cards

  • WRITING: Black Pens, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Washable Markers, Dry Erase markers, Highlighters, #2 Pencils, Pencil Sharpeners, Erasers

  • ORGANIZATION: 1.5” Binders, 2-Pocket Folders, Supply Boxes

  • CLEANING: Hand Sanitizer, Kleenex, Clorox Wipes, Paper Towel

  • MISC: Glue Sticks, Liquid Glue, Safety Scissors, Rulers, Calculators, Earbuds, Refillable Water Bottle, Large Ziploc Bags (not sandwich bags)
