Summer Walking Meditation
Expand your meditation practice this summer on the beautiful lakefront with our Walking Meditation series! This group starts with a guided meditation and a centering affirmation, and then participants can continue their meditational walk along George Lane beach with stunning views of the skyline.
All are welcome, including day of drop-ins!
We meet at 9:50am in the lobby at 5959 N Sheridan Rd before heading next door to the lakefront. We return in time for Sunday service and coffee.

World Day of Prayer
Join us for the 32nd annual World Day of Prayer
Led by our prayer chaplains, this in-person evening service will be filled with healing and stillness as we reflect on this year’s affirmation:
In the stillness, I awaken to divine wisdom
Complete with candle lighting and Crystal Bowl Sound Meditation by Preston Klik, we emphasize the power of collective prayer to bring about positive change, healing, and peace in individuals and communities.


Annual BBQ Bash & Rev. James’ Birthday Celebration
Unity Chicago’s BBQ Picnic, an annual mini-street fest returns.
Help celebrate Rev. James’ birthday! Enjoy tasty food, local vendors, raffle prizes, a Kids & Family Tent, and great live music, all at the beautiful lakefront at the corner of Sheridan Rd. and Thorndale Ave. Bring your family and friends for a fantastic time!

Unity Chicago is helping the families of Centro Romero get ready for the upcoming school year!
Drop off your school supplies at Unity Chicago or make a donation and we’ll deliver it directly to Centro Romero. This annual fundraiser helps over 130 children that rely on Centro Romero’s support with necessary supplies like backpacks, pencils, notebooks, and more.
Centro Romero is a local nonprofit dedicated to serving the refugee immigrant population in the Northeast neighborhoods of Chicago, where Unity Chicago calls home.
We are accepting both monetary donations and school supplies July 6th through August 17th. Items can be dropped off on Sundays and donations can be made online by clicking the donate button on our website. Make sure your contribution is designated as Back-to-School Supplies Drive.
