Sunday, June 1st, 2014 marks the first day of marriage equality throughout the state of Illinois! To recognize this historical day, Unity in Chicago will be hosting Married in Unity, an all-inclusive, non-denominational group wedding ceremony that will be happening in the beautiful Unity garden.

1925 W. Thome Ave. in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago June 1st, 2014 at 4pm Ceremony will commence between 4:30 and 5:00pm Music and refreshments provided

Unity in Chicago’s Senior Minister, Rev. Heidi Alfrey will officiate the ceremony for all who wish to participate, including:

  • Kissing Married Gay Couplesame sex couples
  • opposite sex couples
  • couples who would like to express their commitment without legal documentation
  • married couples who would like to renew their vows

Rev. Heidi Alfrey says, “Unity in Chicago celebrates this day with its belief… Love Honored Here!

WeddingUnityChicagoThe ceremony will be free of charge for all couples who wish to participate. All couples will need to register online using the form below. Married in Unity is open to the public for all who would like to bear witness to this historical event. Please RSVP below so we can keep an accurate account of how many people plan on attending. Also, “Like” our Facebook page for regular updates on the event, couples who will exchanging vows, entertainment and vendors who will be participating. Please bring your wedding licence to the event. Wedding licenses can be obtained at the Cook County Clerk’s Office
