The 2019 Annual Unity Award was presented to Victor Salvo and his cofounders of The
Legacy project to an overwhelming positive response. What a great way to invoke the
Law of Reciprocity by honoring others and sharing with newcomers the wonderful
experience that is Unity Chicago!
We will join The Coalition of Welcoming Churches, walking aside this year’s new float, in
the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30. All are welcome to march with the Unity family
as we hand out wristbands promoting love and a way to learn more about Unity
The Farm-to-Church Primal Roots program has a new order and delivery schedule. New
orders must now be submitted by midnight the on the Tuesday before the second
Thursday of each month. That means for the next cycle, orders should be submitted on
Tuesday, July 9 with a delivery date of Thursday, July 11. We are affirming that the
program will continue to grow! Direct inquiries to Kelly Hoogenakker,
Investments from the sale of the building are being reviewed in preparation for the
move later this year.
We continue the process of procuring a new home in Chicago with the engagement of
our broker. We have reviewed some out-of-the-box possibilities which have resulted in
a couple of strong candidate locations.
We remain committed to our agreed-upon search criteria despite the challenge that
there is simply not a big pool of available properties which meet the criteria, especially
since are competing both against traditional users of commercial properties and against

We are moving forward with creating a Unity Chicago coffee table book! Please share

The next class, for those who would like to become a member of Unity Chicago and for
those returning after being away for an extended time period, will take place three
Thursdays in July: the 11th, 18th, and 25th. This will be the only class before our annual
re-commitment process commences. Completion of the new member class is a
requirement for membership and active status in Unity Chicago.
The development of our book of affirmative prayers is still in the making. All are
encouraged to write affirmative prayers and share them by placing them in the Prayer
Box that can be found in the Friendship Room. Affirmative prayers can also be
submitted by email to Suellen Toben, SRC@unitychicago.org.

Join us for the Community Vision Board and Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday, June
26! Be a part of creating a visual representation of Unity Chicago’s bright future.
We are seeking the talent of all artists to help with the process of creating a beautiful
visual. We also need lots of magazines and other photo-rich publications. Feel free to
drop off publications to the designated place in the back of the library.
The next “Coffee with the Minister” will be Sunday, June 30th after service. Invite your
