The Back to School Campaign for Centro Romero begins July 14! Please visit the table in the Friendship Room for list of needed items that you can contribute, or to give cash donations and drop off items.
The AIDS Walk/Run will take place Saturday, October 30. Let’s get together and participate as a group and make Unity in Chicago visible! Registration is $30. See Matt Scothorn at the Back to School table to express interest.
We can also schedule a group tour of The Legacy Walk for $30 per person and have a luncheon for an additional cost. You may recall that the founders of The Legacy Walk were the winners of our 2019 Unity Award.
Orders for the Farm-to-Church Primal Roots program must be submitted by midnight the on the Tuesday before the second Thursday of each month.
Investments from the sale of the building are being reviewed in preparation for the move later this year.
We remain committed to our agreed-upon search criteria despite the challenge that there is simply not a big pool of available properties which meet the criteria, especially since are competing both against traditional users of commercial properties and against residential developers in addition to aldermanic receptivity to special use zoning designation.
We have identified prospective permanent and temporary candidates on which the Board of Trustees will update the congregation at the meeting on Saturday, July 13.
Our Unity diversity web page got a great number of views after the distribution of the bracelets at the Pride Parade. We had strong representation in collaboration with the Coalition of Welcoming Churches.
We are moving forward with creating a Unity Chicago coffee table book! Please share your past Unity photos by requesting an upload link from Dan Paterno, firstname.lastname@example.org.

The next class, for those who would like to become a member of Unity Chicago and for those returning after being away for an extended time period, will take place three Thursdays in July: the 11th, 18th, and 25th. This will be the only class before our annual re-commitment process commences. Completion of the new member class is a requirement for membership and active status in Unity Chicago.
We are still collecting affirmative prayers for the development of our book of prayers that is in the making. All are encouraged to write affirmative prayers and share them by placing them in the Prayer Box that can be found in the Friendship Room. Affirmative prayers can also be submitted by email to Suellen Toben, SRC@unitychicago.org.
You have a standing invitation to our book study: How I Used Truth, by Emilie Cady. We gather the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm for sessions facilitated by licensed Unity teacher Tom Skinner.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the Fundraising Dinner and Community Vision Board event on June 26. We are grateful for both the funds contributed to support our youth as well as all the work done to identify many inspiring images representing Unity’s bright future.
